Each drop of the ocean quenches our thirst
Welcome to SweetSea, a pioneering company in seawater treatment, specializing in the production of desalinated drinking water, which contains up to 63 natural minerals already present in trace elements of the ocean, without anything being added to the final water, all achieved through of our advanced reverse osmosis desalination process. Our innovative technology is designed to revolutionize critical aspects of the beverage, food manufacturing and agriculture industries by addressing their fundamental need for a high-quality water supply. By harnessing the limitless potential of seawater as an infinite resource, we unlock a wealth of minerals and nutrients that are fundamental to human health and well-being.
More than 2.2 billion individuals around the world are deprived of access to clean drinking water, a fundamental and vital component for nourishing our bodies and maintaining the health of our organ systems. Several investments in research and development of innovative water purification technologies are dedicated to its creation, including advances in seawater desalination, with the aim of establishing a sustainable and inexhaustible supply of drinking water.
Currently, more than 300 million people around the world depend on desalination projects to meet their water needs. This number increases considerably every day due to increasing water scarcity and the repercussions of climate change and available global freshwater resources.
The culmination of a remarkable 25-year journey in research and development of Mr. Annibale Longhi, SweetSea Technology has its roots firmly planted in Brazil. In 2020, a pilot project was set up in the state of Pernambuco so that we could produce SweetSea water with the most rigorous tests, laboratory and safety analyzes and to counter all the misconceptions that could arise about it.
Distinguishing itself from conventional desalination methods, our technology has a unique capability: The precise separation of sodium chloride from other essential minerals present in ocean water. Through our turnkey process, we intelligently disrupt the ionic bonds that bind mineral particles to salt, resulting in water formed with trace elements remarkably similar to those found in human cells.
1. Exploratory Research on Cell Viability with SweetSea Water: Our initial studies indicate that murine embryonic fibroblast cells show potentially higher rates of viability in the presence of SweetSea water compared to mineral water. Although the addition of fetal bovine serum appears to increase cell viability and proliferation rates, further investigation is needed to substantiate these promising beginnings.
2. The Potential Role of Minerals in SweetSea Water: Preliminary research using RPMI medium prepared with SweetSea water showed higher cell proliferation rates compared to those prepared with mineral water. This suggests that the minerals and trace elements in SweetSea water could play a significant role in supporting cell viability.
3. Investigating the Influence of SweetSea Water on Antitumor Activity: Initial results indicate a reduction in the proliferation rate of murine melanoma cells in the presence of SweetSea water compared to embryonic fibroblast cells, suggesting potential antitumor benefits. This activity can be attributed to a complex interaction of various minerals and elements present in SweetSea water.
